2026 L’ETACQ STAGES RALLY

4th July 2026

On 4th July 2026 the picturesque northwest corner of the island roared to life with the 17th running of the Morris Marine & Motors L’Etacq Stages Rally.

The un-forecasted arrival of rain created some challenges throughout the event with tyre choices being the main topic of conversation for many competitors. Despite this, Ross Le Noa once again dominated the event from the beginning in his Ford Escort MK2 with Derek Le Bailly in the navigator’s seat.

It was very much a battle of the Ford Escort with Steve Leonard/Ben Andre, Dave Oliveira/Victor Nobrega, Jez Baudains/Jude Bush and Ollie Le Bailly/Dean Le Bailly all keeping each other on their toes in the battle for the top 5.

The event played host to mix of ‘new and old’ drivers this year with Sion Humphreys, accompanied by his daughter Grace in their Ford Escort MK2, and Tyson Flath paired with Robbie Hannah in the ex-Sam Touzel Ford Fiesta Rally2, both returning to the driver’s seat after some 13 years.

The highest placed Novice award was contested this year by the husband and wife team of Luke and Godelaine Harrison and Matt Renouf and Lee Morley the Citroen C2, with Renouf/Morley taking home the prize coming 23rd overall.

John Le Brun/Tim Hamon had a good day in the BMW E30, setting top 10 stage times throughout the event and leaving with the handbrake trophy, while newcomer to the sport last year Jason Malzard/Raoul Le Sech demonstrated a determined drive in the 1600cc Ford fiesta to earn the title of Driver of the Day.

The Graeme Dorey Memorial Shield Spirit of the Rally was awarded to Sam Simon and Jolie Mars for their hard work, effort and flexibility over the whole weekend.
