ABOUT the SPRINTS
Sprints in Jersey are held on a stretch of the Five Mile Road in St Brelade, between La Pulente and Le Braye.
Our sprint course is not completely straight, there is a slight kink in the middle of it, making for an exhilarating watch!
As well as classes for our members we also have a class for non-members with motorcycles, Run-What-You-Brung. This class is open to any motorcycle over 125cc with a rider that would like to have a go at getting into motorsport, without being a full member of the club.

HILL CLIMB
bOULEY bAY’S History
The inaugural Hill Climb took place in 1920 on a concrete road surface, just after the club's formation at a meeting of seven enthusiasts.
Today, the club hosts four Hill Climb events annually and boasts over 600 members.
Early years saw a variety of venues, but Bouley Bay quickly became the top choice for competitors and spectators alike. Its stunning location on Jersey's north coast—with the French coastline visible on clear days—offers unmatched atmosphere and spectacle in British Hill Climbing.
Events paused briefly during the German occupation, but the club resumed action swiftly, staging an international meet in 1946. The next year, Bouley Bay joined just five other venues in the first British Hillclimb Championship and has hosted championship rounds ever since. Jersey Evening Post reports from the 1950s highlight regular crowds topping 7,000.
With it’s mixture of blind bends through high banked tree lined corners to the tight hairpins towards the top, Bouley Bay has everything to challenge the best in the business.
For spectators the high banks above the top half of the hill are a natural amphitheatre looking down the hill as the competitors race up.
THE COURSE
From the steep start line on the doorstep of the old Waters Edge Hotel, a short straight leads into the first set of corners at Café.
A tight left is immediately followed by a tight right hander leading onto the fastest part of the hill.
Up through the gears you go towards Slemans corner, taken at 80mph + by the top drivers. If you are brave enough at Slemans chunks of time could be saved, but be warned, if you are too brave the large trees at the side of the course have won many a battle with racing machinery before.
When they come out of Slemans it’s a question of how late do you brake for the long left-hander of Les Platons.
From Les Platons the hill snakes up towards the famous Radio Corner hairpin where most of the spectators assemble. Be sure to catch the Supermoto riders ‘backing in’ their machines on this bend.
Another short straight leads up to Top Bend, shaded under a canopy of trees.
Another quick blast on the throttle takes the competitors all the way past the commentary hut towards the finish line.

TWISTY SPRINT
What is A TWISTY SPRINT?
The Twisty Sprint is a thrilling addition to the Speed Calendar, featuring an October round at Jardin de la Mer Car Park in St Helier.
This event delights crowds while challenging motorbike riders' skills as they take on the course.
Riders weave through cones across the car park, tackling short straights and tight bends for non-stop action - with a few expected spills as they push the limits.
