FINAL CHARGE FOR 2025

27th December 2025

by Ryan Hidrio

The final event of the JMC&LCC calendar saw a 40+ entry of competitors as they braved the winter chill at the Five Mile Road. The event began damp but soon dried as racers found their feet with the official timed runs.

A few class records looked under threat from the start, including the Motorcycles 251–350cc, with Paul Traylen in pursuit, and the Scooter 70–149cc time, targeted by Rory Hidrio, but unfortunately both riders fell just slightly short of the mark.

Sam Hunt, once again looking to improve on his own record, was this time at the mercy of some unfortunate luck as his GasGas machine ran into some mechanical issues and forced him to retire early.

A good turnout in the Supermoto 351-500cc class saw Jack Clayden take the class win from Mike Luis.

There was some close racing in the Rally Cars 1601-2000cc class as Dave Truscott topped the timing sheets, the top 3 drivers ended the day separated by just 0.16 seconds.

Elsewhere, the pairing of Nathan Nicolle and Romany Stephens who have often sat alongside each other in rally events over the years, this time changed the dynamic and went head-to-head in the BMW 130i. By the end of the event there was just a quarter of a second splitting the duo and it was Nathan who claimed bragging rights as the quickest.

Fastest time of the day was claimed by Ryan Hidrio with a run of 10.59 seconds and it was Alex Salmon who took the title for fastest car of the day clocking a best of 12.44 seconds.

Once again a thank you to The Mansell Collection for their support during the year and of course, to all marshals, officials, committees and everyone else involved in making these events happen.

See you in 2026!
