The Jersey Motor Cycle and Light Car Club are pleased to announce that they have secured a three year deal with major Island garage group and fuel supplier, Roberts Garages, to be the principal sponsor of the Jersey Rally.  The event will be called The Roberts Garages Jersey Rally for at least the next three occasions.

Chairman of Jersey Rally, Mick Cotillard, commenting on the new deal said:-

 I am delighted that we have been able to secure the future of Jersey Rally with this new sponsorship deal with Roberts Garages. They are the ideal partner for our event as they are one of the leading businesses in the Jersey Motor trade. Roberts Garages will already be known to most motor sport competitors and high performance vehicle owners as the principal supplier of high octane petrol in the island.  With their support, both financially and through their local high profile, they will add an important extra dimension. 2017 will mark the 35th year this event has been run and we delighted to have secured its future for at least the next three years.  

Jersey Rally is already stepping up a gear in 2017 as we are for the first time hosting a round of the UK FUCHS Lubricants Historic Tarmac R.A.C. Rally Championship which should attract some very high quality competitors to our event.

Jersey Rally is one of the island’s high profile sporting events and is watched by thousands of spectators locally.  We are keen to play our part in ensuring the continuation of this event which brings so much pleasure to Jersey motorsport enthusiasts each year. Our relationship with the island’s motoring community is very important to us and we are always keen to do what we can to support them. Indeed, Roberts Garages have supported a number of motorsport events in the past and are delighted to have the opportunity to partner what is arguably Jersey’s blue ribbon event especially as 2017 it will bring a round of a major UK Rally championship to the island.

        

Jersey Motorcycle and Light Car Club President, Karen Slatter, commenting on the new sponsorship deal said:-

Jersey Rally is one of the club’s major events and requires a massive financial commitment to stage successfully. We are very dependent on support from our generous sponsors to ensure the continuation of this event.  This year we have been entrusted with hosting a round of the RAC Historic Tarmac Rally Championship. This is a major coup for the club and we are keen to ensure we host a round worthy of that trust. The event already attracts a substantial number of UK competitors which brings considerable economic benefit to the islands tourism industry in a shoulder month.

This vital support from Roberts Garages will ensure that we are able to stage a rally of the quality we have come to expect locally and we very much look forward to working with them.
